We recently engaged this team for our pest control needs. Adam provided an extensive overview of his services and quoted a vastly more competitive rate. After two service calls we're not only impressed by Adam's expertise but the level of service is absolutely astonishing (we're from New York and that's not easily done). They deserve 10 stars and should be everyone's choice for pest care.

Think your home is pest-free? You might be surprised. Most infestations start behind walls, under foundations, and in attics long before you notice a single bug. A professional pest inspection from Sarasota Pest Control gives you the full picture so you can act before the damage adds up.
We serve homeowners across Southwest Florida, including Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Ellenton, and Palmetto. Whether you just moved in, are buying a home, or noticed something that does not look right, our licensed technicians will get to the bottom of it.
Why Get a Pest Inspection?
Sarasota Pest Control provides free pest inspections for local homes. Our inspectors know what to look for in this area’s housing stock — the entry points, the conducive conditions, and the seasonal patterns specific to these neighborhoods.
A professional pest inspection goes beyond looking for bugs. Sarasota Pest Control evaluates conducive conditions — moisture, entry points, harborage areas, landscaping contact, drainage — and provides actionable findings, not just a pass/fail.
Living in Southwest Florida means dealing with year-round pest pressure. Our subtropical climate gives insects and rodents the warmth and moisture they need to thrive in every season. Termites can silently eat through structural wood for months. Roaches multiply fast in humid crawlspaces. Rodents squeeze through gaps you would never notice. A professional inspection catches these problems early, before a minor nuisance turns into an expensive repair. Regular inspections are especially important after heavy rain seasons, when standing water draws mosquitoes and moisture-loving pests into your home.
What We Inspect
Our technicians perform a thorough, top-to-bottom evaluation of your property:
- Interior rooms — baseboards, cabinets, behind appliances, bathrooms, and utility closets
- Exterior perimeter — foundation walls, entry points, eaves, soffits, and weep holes
- Attic spaces — insulation damage, droppings, nesting materials, and access points
- Crawlspaces — moisture levels, wood-to-soil contact, and signs of termite activity
- Foundation and slab — cracks, mud tubes, and water intrusion areas
- Garage and storage areas — clutter zones where pests commonly hide
- Landscaping and yard — mulch beds, tree lines, standing water, and exterior harborage points
What You Get
After the inspection, you receive a free digital report that breaks down exactly what we found. No jargon, no scare tactics — just clear findings with photos and a recommended treatment plan if anything needs attention. We walk you through the results and answer every question so you know exactly where your home stands. If treatment is needed, we tailor a plan to your property and budget, including our WaveGuard protection plans for ongoing coverage.
Common Pests We Find
Southwest Florida homes are targets for a wide range of pests. During inspections in the Bradenton area, we commonly find:
- Ants — ghost ants, carpenter ants, and fire ants
- Cockroaches — German roaches indoors, American and smokybrown roaches around exteriors
- Termites — subterranean and drywood species that cause serious structural damage
- Rodents — roof rats and mice nesting in attics and garages
- Spiders — brown recluse and black widows in dark, undisturbed areas
- Mosquitoes — breeding in gutters, plant saucers, and low-lying yard areas
- Silverfish and earwigs — in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and damp storage spaces

Questions We Hear Every Day
Quick answers from our SWFL pest pros.
I don't see any pests — do I still need pest control?
Fair question. In Southwest Florida, by the time you spot a roach in the kitchen or ghost ants on the counter, there's usually a colony somewhere you can't see. Our humidity, rainy season, and slab-on-grade homes keep pests active all 12 months.
What a quarterly visit does:
- Renews the exterior treatment before sun and rain wear it down
- Catches entry points — weep holes, soffit gaps, slab cracks — before anything moves in
- Covers you between visits: on a recurring plan, if covered pests show up, we come back free
If you're pest-free right now, that's the easiest time to start. We're maintaining, not chasing.
Why are ongoing treatments necessary instead of just an initial one?
Because Florida has no off-season. Warm, wet weather keeps ants, roaches, and spiders active year-round, and exterior treatments wear down in the sun and rain. Recurring visits renew that protection, catch new entry points, and adjust to what's active each season — ghost ants in the rainy months, rodents moving indoors in the cooler ones. The first service knocks the population down. Recurring visits keep it down.
Is it necessary for me to be at home during pest and lawn services?
For your first pest control visit, yes. We walk the property with you, look at problem spots, and treat inside. After that, most pest visits are exterior, so you don't need to be home; if a visit includes interior work, we'll set a time with you. Lawn service happens outdoors, so you don't need to be home for any lawn visit. Either way, you get a digital service report with photos when we're done.
Why hire a professional when I can do it myself?
You can handle a lot yourself: seal gaps, fix leaks, pull mulch back from the foundation. A pro earns the fee in the parts that are easy to get wrong. That means identifying the exact species (ghost ants and fire ants need opposite approaches), choosing products that won't scatter a colony, and getting into attics and soffits. On a recurring plan, we also come back free if pests return. Store-bought repellent sprays often push ants and roaches deeper into the walls instead of ending the problem.
What are these tiny bugs in my pantry?
Usually one of three: Indian meal moths (small moths, plus webbing in grain or cereal), rice weevils (tiny beetles with a snout, in rice and pasta), or flour beetles (small reddish-brown beetles in flour and baking mixes). Throw out infested food, vacuum the shelves, and move dry goods into sealed containers. If they keep coming back after a thorough clean-out, call us and we'll track down the source.
Why do you treat both the inside and outside of my home?
The first visit covers both: we treat what's active indoors and set up protection outside. After that, recurring visits focus on the exterior — the perimeter, eaves, and entry points — because that's where most Florida pests come from. If you need an inside treatment between visits, we'll come back for that too, free on a recurring plan.
What happens if I'm still seeing pests after my first treatment?
That's normal for the first week or two. The treatment disturbs hidden nests and flushes pests into the open before it takes full effect, so you may see more before you see fewer. If activity hasn't dropped after about two weeks, call us. On a recurring plan, the re-treat is free.
